I think it's cute and edgy at the same time. It's nice and I like it, but I'm not sure if it'd age well... Actually, I can see it on a kid, teen, and elderly man fairly well, it's just the years in between I can't picture. I think I like it best in the middle spot, where it can be quirky-cool without seeming bizarre (Jonathan Silver is an awesome combo; makes me think of Jonathan Swift). I like the idea of Sylvia "Silver"! That's pretty cool. A girl born around Christmas time could be named Sylvia Isabel or something and you could call her Silver Bells sometimes.
