[Opinions] Re: Beatrix or Beatrice?

With a mother and a daughter named Beatrice (after a grandmother's mn!), what do you expect me to prefer?
That said, Beatrix is very Dutch-royalty, which I find unattractive but amusing; my Beatrice daughter doesn't enjoy Beatrix one bit, probably because it just isn't her, and used to get peeved if her teachers got it wrong and Beatrixed her by mistake.
I like Bea as a nn for either name. I find Trixie very juvenile, and for some reason it makes me think of a performing fox terrier in a pink ballet skirt. Beattie is unthinkable.
