My sister is named Laurie (LAWR-ee). She's Laurie Ann, and most other Laurie's I've ever come across also have the middle name Ann.
I wouldn't use either for a daughter.
I love Laurel, Lara, Lorelei (and also Lorna).
I wouldn't use Laurence as a girls name. However my sister was actually named for Laurie in Little Women.
