I love Mariel and Marielle and do pronounce them differently. With Mariel, I say mare-ee-EL. With Marielle, I pronounce it mah-ree-EL. I've also given consideration to Mary Eleanor, nn Mary Elle. I'm a fan of Mariella and Mariela as well. ;-)
