I’ve only heard of it on girls and it’s too out there for me to use in real life. It could be okay on a boy, but there’s just so many better options in my opinion. I don’t trust Nameberry’s meanings. They don’t give history and sources like this site. I’m very sure it doesn’t mean sparrow as Sparrow is it’s own name and Sequoia is well-known to be a tree.
