[Opinions] Re: Survey
1. If you love a name that is popular (like top 30 or so) would you still use it?
C. Maybe as a middle name
D. I would try to fine a more unusual form of it and use that
E. Not at all, too overused
~ I don't mind how popular a middle name is. I love Andrew and Clare at the moment. What I don't like are names that are overused as middle names, such as James, Elizabeth and Grace.2. Just answer these with a number(s) or does not matter
If a name is one syllable like Anne, Jane, Rose...recommend a middle name 4 syllables, or 2 middle names (depends on surname)
If the first name is two syllables 1/3/4 syllables for middle name
If the first name is three syllables 1/2 syllables for mn
If the fn is four syllables 2 syllables for mn3. Do you like these names on a girl, boy, or none?
A. Jordan - Girl
B. Jamie - Boy, this is such a popular boy's name here that I can't see it on a female
C. Alexis - Girl now; used to like it on a boy
D. Madison - Neither, loathesome4. Name a name for each generation or decade that is distictivly for that only when you see it.
70s - Karen
80s - Lindsay
90s - Chloe
00s - Ciara5. Would you ever name a child a name that is distictivily out of place with the time. An "old fashioned" name like Florence on a 2008 baby?
Responses: Yes, but it would have to fit somewhat. I wouldn't name a child Bartholomew because it sounds like something out of a Reformation theology handbook. Even if I do think it's cool.
